Historic Clayborn Temple

Positioning, Logo, Branding
During the 1968 sanitation strikes in Memphis, Clayborn Temple served as the central gathering point for the storied I AM A MAN march, cementing the century-old church’s place in civil rights history. A brand for this reimagined community space had to honor that history while looking toward a bright future.

Positioning & Branding

Memphis is brimming with history, culture, and stories of the past. In order to carve out a unique space for the Historic Clayborn Temple brand, we opted to combine what was, with what will be. We developed a visual identity that highlights the building’s most prominent traits — its stained glass windows — while emphasizing the forward-focused vision of the organization’s leadership.
